Since 2000, I have been an independent web developer based in Oakland, California where I live with my wife Katie and my two children Zoë and Jack.
Prior to starting my business, I worked at Interval Research Corporation in Palo Alto – a technology think tank started by Paul Allen in 1992.
My clients typically hire me for a specific project (usually creating or re-creating their public or internal web site), and I frequently go on to help them develop more complex web-based applications that fit their business processes.
I am passionate about creating systems that simplify complex, repetitive, and time-consuming work tasks. There is nothing quite like hearing the relief and happiness in my clients' voices after we finish a project and they realize they've just saved themselves hours of work per week — sometimes even hours per day!
